La Faena is a film production company based in Caracas and Toronto founded by Jorge Thielen Armand and Rodrigo Michelangeli. We are committed to a cinema that questions reality through introspection and strong points of view, with special interest in contemporary Venezuelan identity.

Our films, all international co-productions, have been recognized and exhibited at world-class festivals. LA SOLEDAD (Jorge Thielen Armand, Venice 2016), garnered 14 awards across a run of more than 50 festivals and was distributed in UK cinemas and many digital platforms; LA FORTALEZA (Jorge Thielen Armand, Rotterdam Tiger Competition 2020); and EL FATHER PLAYS HIMSELF (Mo Scarpelli, Visions du Réel Special Mention 2020).
